Why is this important?

 

Interactive video game development is Aotearoa’s fastest growing creative industry and tech sector export sector.

During a global pandemic Aotearoa Game Development studios experienced a job growth of 30% job, with a further 331 new jobs to be created in 2022.

An event for Ākonga!


2021 saw the first Get into Gaming week in Aotearoa. Online events provide access to the inaccessible for many of our communities, schools and kura.

It’s important our tamariki explore career pathways in digital and creative technology industries. Our events are aimed at Years 7-9 Ākonga. However, we welcome younger or older year levels. We also welcome Te Kura and whānau that home school their tamariki to join us.
