Ngatarawahi aka Nana (Te Whakatōhea, Ngāti Hinemihi, Tūhoe, Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Ngāti Tarāwhai) was born and bred in Rotorua studied his whole school life at Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Koutu. Started his first job at the age of 12 performing in hotels all around Rotorua doing Kapa Haka, at the age of 18 he moved to Auckland to study computer engineering but picked up a TV presenting job for the show Pukoro on Māori Television.
Few years later he has now presented on a few shows such as Pukoro (Māori Television), Tiki Tour (TVNZ) and voiced for a number of Māori dubbed shows like Spongebob Square Pants, Team Umizumi, penguins of Madagascar and a few others. Ngatarawahi has a huge passion for entertaining and working with his community.
He is fluent in Te Reo Maori and Spanish, having spent quite some time in Mexico as an exchange student. A talented performer, singer/soloist and piano player.
Ngatarawahi leads the delivery of DNA’s Te Iwi Matihiko, a values based approach to Digital Wellbeing and helps with the development and delivery of Indigital in Schools programme which pulls together 3D asset development, Minecraft, tikanga and storytelling.
